Kim Walker speaks on worship
Through out my time working in the youth ministry & being part of ministries I have noticed something that we all share whether we are Leaders or just members of a ministry, & as a matter of fact even people who are of the world.
As we get close to God & keep staright on that walk with Christ, the enemy will try hard to put us down, make us fail infront of our peers, & try to take us out of that walk or take leaders down. Talking to one of my youth kids I have realized that what alot of us struggle with the most, is the little voices in our head. (No we havent gone crazy and are hearing random voices) but its that voice that tells you “Why are you going to open your mouth & worship?! Dont you remember the places that youve been in & what you have done?!” … that my friends is the enemy. Nope! it is not you telling yourself this, it is the enemy whispering into your ear & feeding you lies. Ofcourse he doesnt want you to worship! ofcourse he doesnt want you to be part of a minstry! So because of that he will not only temp you physically but mentally and emotionally as well.
I just wanted to point this out because many of us struggle to take a leadership position when we are being called by it from God. We hear in our heads “but you’ve done drugs, theres no way you can be a ministry leader like that” …. of-course our past was bad & we did things we regret & things that we wouldn’t want our kids or little siblings to do, but it is YOUR PAST!. Whether you came from an abusive family, were in a gang, have done horrible things, it will not matter! Once you have surrendered you life to God & accepted Christ as your Lord and savior, your past stays behind you! God does not look at your past! He burns it and forgets about it! Through Christ you have been made NEW! you are a new person & the thoughts of the things that you have done in the past should not hinder you from doing the will of God!
If you guys do not know the story of Paul you should dig in your bibles and read it, I will only give you a very short description because i want you to DIG in your bible and read for yourselves. Paul used to be Saul… Saul was a christian persecutor, he killed christians!..KILLED CHRISTIANS! God decided to change him, and as you read the story you will see how, but God changed Saul & gave him a new name…Paul. Paul is one of the influential people of the Bible, paul was locked up most of the time ut even in jail he didn’t stop preaching the word of God becuse he knew who he IS & not who he WAS. So as God changed Saul into Paul…..God changes us from who we USED to be to what we are NOW. Because Jesus was crucified we have been cleaned from our sins.
So the next time you are in service & you are hearing voices in your head saying that you dont deserve to worship or to not pay attention to what they are preaching, tell the enemy that he was no power or authority over you! because he doesnt! Do not be weak & listen to the lies. Make yourselves spiritually stronger & read your bibles, worship, pray! not because I am telling you to but because when you read the bible you are gaing wisdom from the word of God and God speaks to us through his word, Worship because it is intimate time with God where we thank him for everything he has done for us, and pray because it is also intimate time with him when we are able to speak to him & he speaks back to us… So stay strong & carry on!

Q.)Do you feel that correction of your Spiritual Troops is necessary?
A.)Yes everyone needs to be corrected so that they will not have to pay the consequences later
Q.)Have you ever been corrected? And for what?
A.)Yes a few years ago I took a situation in to my own hands and at the time I wasn’t ready Spiritually to give advice.
Q.)As leader, leadership by example is huge would you agree?
A.)Yes everyone was meant to give back there gift to their generation.
Q.)Name a situation where you had to lead by an example to motivate your troops to “perform” the task at hand.
A.)A few years ago I was asked to work as a sectional leader. The first year was hard because when you get other churches together there is always a little friction. But I started getting everyone together and we started being more of a church than a section. We started feeling more comfortable with each other and in our services I didn’t matter who preached or played the spirit of God was moving in each live because we denied ourselves and Pride to work together For him.
Q.)Do you think having one of your troops bring word or pray out of nowhere is a good leadership tactic for growth?
A.) Yes we must be ready at all times
Q.)Has that ever happened to you? How did you do? And what did your leader do when it was all said and done?
A.) I was called to preach on a Wednesday they told me 3 days before and when that happen I was so nervous that most of the sermon I was buried in my notes. I was frustrated at the end but my leader at the time told me that everyone has to start somewhere and that I would one day be speaking at churches.
Q.)Any final thoughts for our readers at Operation I4031
A.)give it all you got! learn more Read about other leaders in the bible pick up a book and maintain yourself active in the community. You may not have all the answers but that’s good because it makes you remain humble. Search for God PRAYER IS THE KEY! Maintain yourself in his Presence because without his anointing you can’t do NOTHING!

A.) Well at the moment I am writing a book.
Q.) Tell us a little more about your events
A.) Well my book is coming along great and soon there will be some conferences to come.
Q.) Tell us about your book.
A.) It is called “Climbing Out of Darkness" just is to show and encourage that with Christ it doesn’t matter how deep or dark your current situation is there is always an exit
Q.) When can we be expecting that?
Q.) What do you feel is your calling?
A.) I feel called to lead the youth of this nation into a mass revival. Leading them to have a fearless awakening not fearing what man will do to them but instead into leading a life fully sold out for God moving in signs and wonders, showing the world the love of God
Q.) What makes you believe that?
A.) Well since I came to the lord and even before that I had always had this compassion for working with young people and leading on a path of love and into believing for greater things in their lives
Q.) Since the first topic of discussion is leadership, what is leadership to you?
A.) To me leadership is a lifestyle in which you lead by example.
Q.) What do you feel is the best leadership trait a person can have?
Q.) What do you think is the outcome of bad leadership?
A.) A bunch of people lost and confused. It is a yes and no.
Q.) Do you think followers of bad leaders are set up for failure?
A.) Many will fail yes but there will be a group that says wait there has to be more to this and will use that bad leadership to launch them on a path in the opposite direction because they will refuse to be a bad leader
Q.) Name one verse that you feel ties into leadership:
A.) Proverbs 11:14 “For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers.”
Q.) Who has been a great leader and mentor for your spiritual walk?
A.) I would say Robert Lopez he is the Pastor of The W.O.W. Church
Q.) And why?
A.) He has been there for me every step of the way in my path and guided me in the right direction. Allowing me space to make my own mistakes and to learn from them but always encouraging me to grow and expand the kingdom of Heaven
Q.) Do you feel that correction of your Spiritual Troops is necessary?
A.) Correction is a harsh term. I think and believe that we must love everyone and based on a foundation of love we are able to call attention to areas of one’s life that they need guidance in, but I don’t know about correcting them.
Q.) Have you ever been corrected? And for what?
A.) Yes I have I was told I was doing some things wrong that were out of my hands but because I was in the position of leadership them Blame fell on me.
Q.) As leader, leadership by example is huge would you agree?
A.) Yes it is. Jesus is the greatest leader to ever walk on this planet and all He did was follow the Fathers example and He led by being an example so it is a must.
Q.) Name a situation where you had to lead by an example to motivate your troops to “perform” the task at hand.
A.) Everyday life, I have so many eyes watching me and I need to lead by example.
Q.) Do you think having one of your troops bring word or pray out of nowhere is a good leadership tactic for growth?
A.) Not really I believe yes they should always be prepared and ready to go at the drop of a hat, but it is good practice to let them know in advance so that they could be spiritually ready. You don’t know their situation and they could of just had something happen and not be up to it.
Q.) Has that ever happened to you? How did you do? And what did your leader do when it was all said and done?
A.) Yes I have. I did all I could do let god move through me. told me good job
Q.) Any final thoughts for our readers at Operation I4031?
A.) Leadership is a huge role in our world and everyone is a leader in their own way shape and form just know that if God is with you then Who can be against you
Judgement- 5a: The capacity for judging: Discernment.Merriam-Webster
Being leader requires a lot of things. Hence why we’re going over 12 traits of leadership. Today we will be discussing Judgement. Not judgement as in the judging people do to one another. Not “OMG did you see what she was wearing?” or “Bro did you hear about Bobby?” No we’re going to speak about the Judgement that God gives us to make choices, spiritual choices. Discernment.
As a leader discernment is very key attribute to have. Like we discussed on our last post, leaders are always tested with situations where we need to make very difficult choices and if you are not with God in one Spirit then your choice will be even harder. Discernment comes from God given wisdom. No amount of “experience” can give you discernment with out God. Discernment is the God given ability to make these choices, the God given ability to know your choice is given to you by God himself. Do not, though, make a choice and then call it discernment from God. You need to be very in touch with the Spirit in order to have true discernment. Do not fret though, jsut know that for the most part God has placed you where you are for a reason. Whether it be to become an amazing leader and grow or to be an example of how leadership shouldn’t be. Either way you can work at getting closer to God and HIS Spirit to truely have discernment. Turn to the word, turn to worship, and turn to prayer. Ask for what you want and what you need in your ministry and life.
Here’s a verse to help you understand this a lot better and to motivate you as a leader. The word of God says in
1 Chronicles 22:11-13 - "11) So now, son, God be with you. God-speed as you build the sanctuary for your God, the Job God has given you. 12) And may God also give you discernment and understanding when he puts you in charge of Israel that you will rule in revernet obedience under God’s Revelation. 13) that’s what will make you successful, following the directions and doing the things that God commanded Moses for Israel. Courage! Take Charge! Do Not be timid; don’t hold back.”
Take note on the highlighted words. They are both in verse 12. Read and understand this word leaders and followers of Christ. We must have discernment and yern for it. It’ll help us lead our spiritual troops and mentor those who are in of growth. Love you. God Bless and keep soaring! FUEGO!
